What should we wear to lessons?
We always recommend wearing the shoes that you’ll be wearing on the day (or similar to if you are saving them for the big day) as well as clothing similar to what you’ll be wearing so this could be a smart jacket or a flowing skirt for example. Practicing this way will help you to feel comfortable on the day as your clothing and footwear will feel somewhat familiar.
When should we start lessons?
Ideally 6-8 weeks before the wedding as this allows time to learn, practice, and feel relaxed. This is however just a general rule. From our experience this tends to be a largely personality driven decision. Some couples enjoy a light touch approach with minimal guidance after the initial period with ourselves. Others prefer the comfort of practice in our presence and choose to spend more time in rehearsals and practice. Further considerations include how long you want your dance to be as well as if you opt for the inclusion of the bridal party or grooms men for example in which case more time is generally required to achieve this. Even so, with all that said even starting 2–3 weeks before your big day still allows time to assist you in achieving your dance of dreams! So wherever you’re at, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Can we involve our parents or bridal party?
Yes! This is your dance and we are here to help you execute it the way you’ve always envisioned! You can add: Parent dances (father–daughter, mother–son, etc.) Group bridal party routines Or even fun mash-ups that surprise guests View our offering in First Dance and Entertainment to understand more about how the WOW can go beyond your First dance.
